What’s new in Solibri Office – April 2023
Helsinki, April 19, 2023 - The newest Solibri Office release (v 9.13.3) offers several improvements to Solibri user interface, allowing for better customization of how information is structured and displayed in various view options. Check out the top 6 highlights and update to the new version.
#1. New Custom Hierarchy option in Results view
Quality review often results in thousands of issues, which can be overwhelming and difficult to manage. For this reason, projects tend to have specific requirements outlining how checking results should be presented.
In this release, we are introducing “Custom Hierarchy”, a new results view option that allows users to structure the results in a way that matches their project needs. Users can set up their own hierarchy for the results by defining the property for each hierarchy level. The customized hierarchy can be saved as a file and shared with other users. It is also possible to add multiple hierarchy views and switch between them. Watch the video below to see how to use it, and check out this help article to learn more.
#2. Advanced Info view
Based on the customer feedback, we organized the Info view in a more structured and logical way to help users find relevant information easier. The updated Info view has five main tabs: BIM Data, Ifc Standard Properties, Ifc Standard Quantities, Other Properties, and Custom. Under each main tab, there are now several sub-tabs. For example, the BIM Data tab includes Identification, Location, Quantities, Relations, and Classification. Learn more.
#3. Easily duplicate Classifications and ITOs
Creating multiple classifications and ITOs is typically a manual and time-consuming process. In this release, we’ve added an option that allows users to easily duplicate a previously created classification/ITO, thus saving time needed to create the resources from scratch.
#4. Integration with Autodesk Construction Cloud & BIM 360 just got better
From this release version, Solibri integration with Autodesk Construction Cloud (BIM 360) allows opening DWG files in addition to IFC, SMC, and PDF. Furthermore, when opening BIM 360 folders in Solibri, you can now see the number of files currently selected and the total number of files in this folder. This functionality adds a counter to the bottom of the file chooser window, which shows how many files the selected folder includes. Additionally, the counter will show how many files the user has selected.
#5. Show/Hide model openings
The new option in the Show/Hide tool allows displaying the openings in the 3D model viewer. This will make, for example, visual checking of the MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) models easier and help engineers to ensure that MEP pipes correspond to the breakthroughs in the architecture model. Learn more.
#6. Tooltips for status of checking results
We've added tooltips to the checking results icons in the Checking view to help users easily understand what each result means.
Other improvements
More improvements and bug fixes are included in this release; for example, we added a classification reference name to the classification view. You can find the full list of improvements and bug fixes in the Release Notes.
