Nemetschek Group joins the Kennedy network of Madaster
- Madaster enables the design and use of buildings as commodity banks
- Nemetschek is the first software company in Kennedy network
- Kennedy network grows to a total of 23 companies
Berlin/Munich, November 18, 2021 – The Nemetschek Group, one of the world's leading software vendors for the AEC/O industry, joins the Madaster Kennedy Network as the 23rd company. This expands the network to include a crucial aspect of the value chain: software solutions for the construction lifecycle. Madaster is the global cadaster for materials, buildings, and infrastructure. With the Nemetschek Group, expertise and know-how for the digital planning and implementation of construction projects are strengthened. Architecture and planning offices can thus realize sustainable buildings more easily and promote the reuse of materials.
Madaster is an online platform for materials. It creates transparency about material values and provides a trusted source of data. At the same time, it establishes an ecosystem that brings together solutions, architects, project developers, banks, asset managers, and the public sector. With the Nemetschek Group, an established and innovative company, there is now more support for the Madaster platform.
With Madaster, every registered building receives a material passport, on which the material quantity, reusability potential, material value, and the current residual raw material value are shown. This new transparency about material values and properties creates a reliable source of data to plan ahead for the long-term reuse of building elements and materials in future projects. The partner companies that work closely with Madaster are called Kennedys. Other Kennedys in the Madaster network – besides the Nemetschek Group –include architecture and engineering firms, as well as companies such as Berlin Hyp, Schüco, Kondor Wessels, and Vonovia.
“Just like Madaster, we look at the entire life cycle of buildings. With digital solutions, all those involved can design, construct, and manage buildings more efficiently and thus more sustainably and with less impact on resources,” says Dr. Axel Kaufmann, CFOO and Spokesman of the Executive Board of the Nemetschek Group. “The online platform Madaster is an innovative, pioneering approach for a more sustainable construction industry. We are very much looking forward to collaborating with them.”
“Everything starts with planning. We are therefore particularly pleased that the Nemetschek Group, an established and innovative company with many years of software expertise, is supporting us in the Kennedy network. This will enable us to offer architecture and planning offices even more precise solutions and interfaces when using the Madaster platform. At the same time, we will continue to push the topic of BIM interface and automatic upload,” says Dr. Patrick Bergmann, Managing Director of Madaster Germany.
