Maxon Expands Global Workforce with New Waterloo Office in 2023

Bad Homburg – May 3, 2023 – Maxon, the developers of professional 3D modeling, animation, rendering and motion design software solutions, have announced their new office opening in Waterloo, Canada in early 2023. Marking their increasing global presence, the office will accommodate Maxon’s expansion of development roles, including engineering, design and product management.

Located in a renovated historical building in the center of Downtown Kitchener, this characterful and spacious office area, complete with open workspaces and meeting areas, has been selected with the aim of cultivating a dynamic and collaborative work environment for innovation and creation. Following a successful adoption by the company in the past few years, a hybrid work policy will also be put in place to support the current working environment. Future development opportunities at the office space will include hosting a variety of events for the wider creative community.

“As a globally diverse company, we are looking forward to the opportunities this latest location expansion will bring,” says David McGavran, CEO. “Our hugely talented team and creative community can be found all over the world, so we hope to be able to tap into the particular benefits of being in this region, with its strong technology industry activity, and ultimately continue to bring numerous benefits to employees, partners and customers worldwide.”

The opening of the Waterloo office expands Maxon’s physical presence in Canada alongside their Montréal office. Located in Canada’s technology hub, its dynamic tech ecosystem includes companies such as Google, Oracle and Blackberry and is home to Canada’s fastest growing start-ups. Additionally, this area is home to University of Waterloo, a leading Canadian university for Computer Science and Engineering, and Maxon is hopeful that this location expansion will help to develop connections and employment opportunities with some of the country’s top tech graduates and talent.

Information and application forms on the available Waterloo-based roles for the new office can be found on the Maxon Careers Site.
