FRILO updates structural analysis software
Stuttgart, November 17, 2020 – As of today, the latest version of the FRILO structural analysis software is available for structural engineers to download. The provider of innovative solutions for structural analysis and structural design has new exciting performance enhancements and programs to offer. One of the highlights is the new BIM-Connector which will improve the workflow between architects and structural engineers.
The other FRILO solutions also include new useful functions that further refine the product portfolio.
New program for the calculation of beam to column connections in steel constructions SRE+
The "Beam-to-Column Connection" program group was completely redesigned and is included in the new release as the SRE+ program. This includes the screwed and welded types. This program is the successor to ST10 (Bolted Beam-to-Column Connection) and ST14 (Welded Beam-to-Column Connection).
New program for the settlement calculation SBR+
The FRILO product portfolio is extended by a completely new solution, the settlement calculation (SBR+). SBR+ can be used to calculate settlements and foundation tilting caused by changes in the volume or shape of the building site. In addition to the magnitude of these settlements, the progression over time can also be determined. The calculation is based on a vertical, static load. Liftings of the building site due to excavation relief can then be calculated correspondingly. The shares of immediate settlement and consolidation settlement are always calculated by default. A creep settlement can be calculated optionally.
The BIM-Connector
The BIM-Connector was developed to improve the workflow between architects and civil engineers and is one of the major highlights in the Release 2021-1. It allows you to read in IFC and SAF files. The building data is then imported, processed and presented to you as a 3D building representation with additional property data. This offers you the possibility to display the imported files as a physical model and then as an analysis model. The BIM-Connector saves you the monotonous and time-consuming task of creating the building model by defining its individual parts. It also eliminates manual transmission errors and prevents data loss. Thus, you receive a high-quality analysis model. This gives you more time to use your engineering expertise as an engineer in the actual structural calculation and design. In the current version of the BIM-Connector, you can call up the FRILO programs Plates by Finite Elements (PLT) and Reinforced Concrete Column (B5+). The BIM connector is available free of charge until February 2021.
