BIM practitioners vote ARCHICAD ‘BIM Product of the Year’ Ninth Year in a Row
GRAPHISOFT BIMx also wins as Mobile Technology of the Year
BUDAPEST, November 21, 2019 – GRAPHISOFT, the leading Building Information Modeling (BIM) software developer for architects, has announced that ARCHICAD 23 has won the prestigious BIM Product of the Year award at the 14th annual Construction Computing Magazine Awards in the United Kingdom. This is the ninth year in a row that ARCHICAD has been honored with the top BIM product award. GRAPHISOFT also won Mobile Technology of the Year for BIMx, its award-winning presentation app,
Affectionately known as ‘The Hammers,’ the Construction Computing Awards are nominated and voted for by industry-wide professionals and real users to recognize innovative solutions that are actively deployed and in use today. As one of the few awards covering the use of IT in design and construction, the awards are known for reflecting actual users’ experiences with products for delivering projects.
Voters appreciated that ARCHICAD 23 delivers unprecedented software responsiveness, advanced modeling capabilities for prefabricated structures, and best-in-class multidisciplinary workflows. Most notably, ARCHICAD 23 significantly improves the speed of the most essential daily processes such as software startup, file opening, working in multi-project environments and navigating between different views of the BIM project; the brand-new Opening, Column and Beam tools increase modeling accuracy and interoperability with engineering disciplines.
Award-winning BIMx features the Hyper-model, a unique technology for integrated 2D and 3D building project navigation. BIMx helps bridge the gap between the design studio and the construction site.
“We are always proud to be recognized by our users,” said Akos Pfemeter, GRAPHISOFT’s Vice President, Marketing. “Our success in these 100% customer-voted awards underscore the value our users attach to both ARCHICAD and BIMx.”
“Doing so well in these awards for nine consecutive years means so much to us. Knowing our users value the work we put into developing ARCHICAD and BIMx makes these awards very special,” said Adrian Girling, Managing Director, GRAPHISOFT UK.
