Press release -

Allplan, Graphisoft & Vectorworks are partners at the German Architects Day 2023

Munich, September 11, 2023: Construction software manufacturer Graphisoft with its BIM planning solution Archicad is the exclusive partner of the "Digitalization" theme area at the German Architects Day 2023. The event with a congress and supporting program will take place on September 29, 2023 at the BCC - Berlin Congress Center.

The DAT23, the German Architects Day 2023 of the Federal Chamber of Architects, will bring more than 60 speakers from the construction industry to Berlin this year under the event title "Transformation - Strengthening Spaces". Among them are leading industry experts such as Federal Minister of Construction Klara Geywitz, Camilla van Deurs, Copenhagen's city architect responsible for climate protection, and transformation researcher Prof. Dr. Maja Göpel.

The high-caliber day program consists of various keynotes and wide-ranging panels on the urban-rural continuum and existing buildings, land and use, material use and the circular economy, young talent, leadership, and the value of planning as part of the transformation that will define the work of architects for decades to come.

Graphisoft is this year's exclusive partner of the panel Potentials of Digitization, Robotics, AI, which will take place as part of the extensive day program, and supports the panel with the discussion contribution of Holger Kreienbrink, Director Product Intelligence at Graphisoft. The panel will include digitalization experts such as Prof. Georg Vrachliotis (TU Delft), Kyung-Ae Kim-Nalleweg (Kim Nalleweg Architekt*innen) and Thomas Kirmayr (Managing Director Fraunhofer-Allianz Bau, Head of Mittelstand Digital Zentrum Bau). The strongly user-oriented lecture program is intended to show planners strategies and offers to drive the digital transformation forward in their own everyday work.

For Graphisoft expert Holger Kreienbrink, successful digital transformation is the basis of his work for Graphisoft and the main reason for supporting DAT 2023 as a partner: "For us, transformation means the digitalization of planning. And by that I really mean digitalization, i.e. the recreation and rethinking of processes - and not just the imitation of existing processes with technical aids. With our partnership at the German Architects' Day, we want to accompany architects on their way and show them new concepts and paths for the future."

The panel Potentials of Digitalization, Robotics, AI will be moderated by Gabriele Seitz, Head of the Digitalization Department at the Federal Chamber of Architects in Berlin. The DAT23 is organized by the German Federal Chamber of Architects (BAK). Another highlight of the supporting program is the presentation of the German Interior Architecture Award (DIAP). For the evening of September 29, a festive get-together with a keynote speech on the building turnaround is planned, for which the current Federal Minister of Economics Robert Habeck has been requested.

In addition to Graphisoft, Vectorworks and Allplan are also partners of the German Architects' Day 2023. All three companies belong to the Nemetschek Group, which is one of the pioneers for the digital transformation of the construction industry. The extensive participation of the Nemetschek Group in DAT 2023 is explained by the future-oriented topics that the event will highlight - and which are also the focus of the Munich software group. With a total of 13 brands, the Nemetschek Group supports its customers along the building life cycle with cross-discipline and cross-product, barrier-free solutions and workflows.
